Neodymium magnets are made mostly of three elements Neodymium, Iron and Boron. Our fishing magnets go through an extensive 5 layer coating process increasing the longevity whilst maintaining a smooth finish.

We recommend that buyers lockthread the magnets’ eyebolt as this can become loose during use.

Neodymium magnets are the strongest permanent rare earth magnets available and as a result can be dangerous if handled improperly. Due to the high strength of these magnets,  buyers should read our health and safety page for more information. This will allow buyers to understand the dangers and rules for handling such strong magnets. We recommend that protective gloves while handling such strong magnets. We do not recommend performing any test which involve the human body or otherwise using the magnets in unwise pranks.

Be careful with strong magnets around electrical appliances as they can cause permanent damage. We recommend that magnets are kept a safe distance away from computers, cardiac pacemakers, monitors, speakers, external memory carriers, clocks as well as from credit cards – to name a few.

Neodymium magnets are not toys and should be kept away from children at all times. Magnets have the ability to trap fingers and pinch the skin and so should be kept out of the reach of children and generally handled with caution.

The pull force provided on this listing is measured from the magnets optimal condition. This involves a backing steel plate made of low carbon steel with a smooth surface, raising the magnet at 100mm / minute. The conditions have been carried out at room temperature with the force acting perpendicularly.

When measuring the pull of magnets after purchase buyers should consider the following factors which can affect the magnets:

  • Air Gap (distance between the object and the magnet)
  • Material (The material which the object is made from)
  • Direction of the detaching force
  • Thickness of the material
  • Working temperature

Max Temperature: 80° C

Max pull force – 400kg (200kg per side)
