Frosty the fridge man - Turn your fridge into a giant snowman

As we get to the time of the year filled with mince pies, mulled wine and presents we look forward to spend time with the family. There couldn’t be a better time to get crafty, bringing the Christmas spirit to the kitchen that let’s be honest – we all neglect from Christmas decorations.

In this blog we show how to transform your fridge into a giant snowman, sparking the Christmas vibe every time you and the family go to the fridge… as they eat the mince pies. Your little elf helpers can help too!

What you will need:

Step 1

Firstly, we’re going to sketch the shapes that we’re going to use; let the family and little ones go wild drawing the shapes listed below:

  • 2 eyes from your black card
  • 2 smaller circles for the white of your snowman eyes
  • 1 carrot nose from your orange card
  • 3 buttons for your snowman body from your black card
  • 1 top hat from your black card
  • 1 scalf from your coloured card of choice.

Step 2

Now we’ve drawn the outlines we are going to cut them out to give you all of the pieces needed for the project. Please remember to supervise any children involved (disclaimer: we say this so we don’t get sued) but seriously – supervision is important.

Now we have our carrot nose, eyes and scarf, it’s time to create the Olaf fridge! Let everyone go wild on scarf designs and make some colorful patterns. If you want to be festive, why not add some glitter?

Step 3

Glue the whites of the snowman’s eyes to the black circles and leave them to dry.

Step 4

It’s time to get sticky with the glue and magnets. Glue 1 magnet to the each of your snowman’s eyes, one at each end of the carrot nose, 4 at each corner of your top hat, one on each button and multiple throughout your scarf. Now leave the magnets to dry.

Step 5

Positions please – now it’s time to make your fridge the main attraction. Place all the pieces on your fridge to make your perfect snowman!

Want the snowman with a little more personality? What about a harry potter snowman complete with Gryffindor scarf, Potter glasses and scar? There are endless characters you could create, so have fun with this and don’t forget to tweet us your pictures!
